David Spade Remembers Infamous David Skippy Malloy Attack on Howard Stern

David “Skippy” Malloy was David Spade’s personal assistant and if you ask Spade, he would also say Skippy was a close friend. That is, until the night of November 29 in 2000. That is the night that David “Skippy” Malloy allegedly attacked David Spade, beating him and zapping him with a stun gun, while Spade slept in his bed.
Spade has gone into details of the story in the past saying that the police report stated Skippy’s plan was to knock Spade out by stunning and punching him so he would be able to reach for Spade’s shotgun underneath his bed. Spade has mentioned that he feels David “Skippy” Malloy was feeling depressed at the time and that his plan was to commit a murder/suicide.
David Spade called in to the Howard Stern Show this morning to promote, “Rules of Engagement” and he transitioned into the story in an odd way; joking that he was home alone but had a vision of Skippy. Spade eventually began to revisit the night of the attack and explained what happen in detail.
“I kind of bar the door. I’m still a pussy about it.” Spade said about how he lives his life nowadays. He recalled seeing Skippy standing just outside his bedroom door as he awoke, just before the attack occurred. After taking several punches to the head and being shocked with a taser, Spade managed to escape from his bedroom.
“I was lucky to get out of there… I think he did like an 8 ball that night. He was tazing me so that I would be incapacitated and he could reach for the gun.” Eventually, Spade made it out to his front lawn where the two continued to scuffle until Spade got away again. He describes running back into the house and slamming the door behind him just enough so that it clicked shut, which bought him enough time to run up to his bedroom and finally retrieve the shotgun from underneath his bed.

He immediately thought to go into his bathroom which was one of the only rooms with a lock. He recounted his thoughts saying, “Ah man I gotta shoot this guy? He was my friend 20 minutes ago.” Spade recalls yelling out, “I’m gonna shoot you” and walking out of the bathroom to call the cops.
Once the cops arrived, Spade didn’t want to “rat” on his friend but after a while the police realized the intruder must have been someone he knew. Although he eventually revealed Skippy’s identity, Spade never pressed charges.
“He still works in Hollywood. I don’t want to keep piling on this guy but whatever.” Spade said towards the end of his interview.

VisionQwest Sues Pacquiao
FILIPINO 8-division boxing champion Manny Pacquiao was sued by his former accounting firm for $649,016.95, for allegedly refusing to pay for services rendered to him.
Back in August, Pacquiao fired VisionQwest Resources Group from their service as his business and personal accountants. According to Michael Lodge, President and CEO of the company, it was a move that was made “due to interference of individuals.” He also stressed that “our firm will deal with this issue in a legal manner under the contract laws afforded us as a business on the issue of interference in one’s business.”
He stated that “there are agendas that are not healthy for our client.”
Pacquiao has not commented on the issue yet, but did dismiss rumors about him losing money. He was also personally served with the papers during a break in his training for the November 12 bout with Juan Manuel Marquez.
The firm of Tanner, Mainstain, Blatt and Glynn has now taken VisionQwest’s place in handling Pacquiao’s tax issues and are also auditing the financial records of Top Rank, Inc.

Kanye West’s Runway Debut Flops

MUCH-maligned hip-hop star Kanye West did not receive the response he was after in KW by Kanye West Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2012 show at Paris Fashion Week. The A-list guests and designers found his structurally questionable ‘creations’ almost unanimously unimpressive, and West spent most of the week defending himself against his critics.
Long Nguyen, style director of Flaunt magazine, expressed his disappointment at the designs. “There are wishes, and there are realities,” he said. “I feel bad, actually, that there wasn’t anything to grab on to. But you can’t just dump some fox fur on a runway and call it luxury.”
Lisa Armstrong, fashion editor for The Daily Telegraph, commented, “Kanye West’s fashion debut was like being subjected to an hour long MRI scan — but not as much fun…Oh, dear God, those clothes: does the world really need another slashed bandage dress that requires a woman to go commando and depilate every last centimetre of her body or for that matter another pair of Balmain-esque spray-on shiny jeans? Not sure those fur rucksacks are a major – or even minor – contribution to civilisation either. Why so much fur in a spring collection?”
Fashion institution and Vogue editor Anna Wintour, was particularly stringent — and curt — with her opinion. When asked about what she thought of West’s show, she replied, “Ask someone else.”
This ‘bandage dress’ on the right is only one of the creations that garnered poor reviews from the audience. Click here to see another outfit.
Not all attendees gave out scathing commentaries, however. Lindsay Lohan, Jared Leto, Sky Ferreira, and the singer Ciara expressed their full support for the rapper and seemed to enjoy the show. Still, the general consensus was that the clothes were ill-fitting and unwearable.
In his defense, West riled against his critics with rather salty language. “We don’t know what the reviews will be, we don’t know what they will say, but I got a chance to go to Italy and feel those fabrics… I took out motherf***ing loans to get the best models, to get the best designers, to get the best venue. I gave you everything that I had.”
“This is my first collection. Please be easy. Please give me a chance to grow,” he appealed at first. “This is not some celebrity s—. I don’t f— with celebrities. I f— with the creatives in this room, the amazing people who spend every day of their life trying to make the world a more beautiful place.”
“The amount of people that tried to get me a celebrity f—ing deal. They said, ‘You need to do boot-cut jeans, or you won’t sell.’ Shut the f— up! Or Hedi Slimane in the motherf—ing Mercer, sitting with me, saying, ‘Stop giving them your ideas, Kanye. Do your own thing.’ Hedi Slimane! To feel so frustrated. And I thank anybody who came to this party, everybody who supported, everybody who believed, because people thought it was a joke, and maybe people still do, but I can only grow from this point.”
Apparently from his tirade, he still has much growing up to do. But for now, the fashion community isn’t exactly waiting for his next move.
